On the occasional break from his outdoor work, Leon finds time to experiment with works on paper. This series he calls the "Masterwork Remixes" and is considered a form of collage. They incorporate clippings from both art history text books and popular culture magazines. Within the space of 5 months Leon made well over 100 Remixes and has exhibited them in several Brooklyn galleries. Borrowed (or simply subtracted) from such greats as Goya, Manet and Van Gogh Leon creates a unique visual synthesis "not unlike the musical collage of every-day hip-hop."
The works range from 2"x 3" to 6"x 7" and are mounted on white 9"x12" heavyweight paper.
